METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF ENTOMOPATHOGENIC PREPARATION Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method involves production of neutral nutritive medium containing glycerol (0.3-2.0%), glucose (0.3-2.0%), hydrolysate of protein-vitamin concentrate (8-10%), chalk (0.3-0.8%), and water - the rest. The medium is inoculated with fungal race Verticillium lecanii, Beauveria bassiana or Metarrhizium anisopliae for areated cultivation. In the case of use of Beauveria and Metarrhizium, the medium is supplemented with potassium phosphate. The rate of supplementation is 0.04-0,06%. As pH of the culture fluid drops to 3.7-5.9 in the process of cultivation, 0.3-1% of glycerol is added. The process of cultivation continues till maximum sporulation is attained, and the index of refraction is 1.4-1.44. The resulting cultural fluid is condensed, and the preparation may be liquid or dry substance. For the purpose of production of liquid, the concentrate is supplemented with glycerol (4-10% ) and polyvinyl pyrollydone (1-3%) or polyethylene oxide (0.1-1.0%). For production of dry entomopathogenic preparation, the culture fluid concentrate is mixed with mixture of ceolyte of type NaX and montmorillonite or polygorskite (1:2). THe rate of supplementation is 10-30% . The preparation is granulated and dried. EFFECT: higher product quality. 5 cl
