FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: strain of Beauveria bassiana, microscopic fungus, has been produced by selecting strain of Beauveria bassiana 124/1, selecting most productive and biologically effective clones by testing these on insects and for thermal resistance. For producing entomopathogenic preparation, strain should be grown on liquid nutrient medium containing 1 % commercial-grade glucose, 3 % glycerine and 7 % hydrolysate of protein-vitamin concentrate at temperature of 25 C with aeration during 57 h. This technique prescribes that thus prepared culture liquid should be concentrated to 10 % by volume and stabilizer and wetting agent to produce liquid preparation having titer of 10·109 спор/мл spore/ml. EFFECT: biological effectiveness of disclosed preparation having working concentration of 1 % is 90 % in combatting cucumber thrips. 4 tbl
