FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: micromycet Verticillium Lecanii PY-1 is produced by selection of initial strain Verticillium Lecanii No. 4 and picking out homogeneous colonies on the basis of their productivity, biological efficiency and thermal stability. The strain has been deposited in the Central Collection of Microorganisms of the State Concern Biopreparation, File No. TsKM F - 53Ts. To produce an insecticide preparation, the strain is poured into a liquid nutrient medium containing 1% commercial glucose, 3% glycerine and 7% protein-vitamin preparation, cultivated on aerating for 58 h, then the resulting cultural liquid is concentrated, treated with an adhesive and stabilizer, thus producing a preparation with a titer of 20 bln spores/cu cm.
