FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: used hydrochloric-acid pickling solution is mixed with aqueous solution of cobalt salt. Mixtures are heated to not higher than 40 C and the mixture is neutralized in an ammonia solution. The process is carried out in a reaction vessel with continuous mixing and separate metered supply of a mixture of salt solutions and an alkali solution, maintaining an unchanged pH in the course of precipitation. The resulting product is filtered, washed, dried in the air then heated in hydrogen at 350-400 C. The produced powder has and an average particle volume of (420-565)·103 nm3. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 tbl
