FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: used solution of hydrochloric acid is neutralized with 6% aqueous solution of ammonia at room temperature in reactor with continuous stirring and separate metered supply of reagents with different velocities (V1 is velocity of ammonia solution supply; V2 is velocity of pickling solution supply) and pH being maintained constant at preset velocity rations 1,1 ≅ V1/V2≅ 2,4. Produced iron hydroxide is filtered, washed, dried in air and then heated in hydrogen current at 350-400 C. Produced iron powder features specific surface area of Ss=10-30 sq.m/g and average particle volume of (17-148)103 nм3. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 tbl
