FIELD: machine-tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: spindle head comprises body accommodating spindle, input shaft and mechanical transmission to spindle from input shaft equipped with sheave. Disposed in input shaft flange is brake device comprised of a set of friction discs and a pressure piston installed in hydraulic cavity connected direct to reversible pump communicating through pipe to middle step of one stepped channel of collector in the spindle lubricating system. Each stepped channel has two check valves one made in the form of a spring-loaded pressure regulator accommodated in larger step of the first channel which communicates through the larger channel with the larger step of the second stepped channel which, in turn, communicates with lubricant delivery line to the spindle head. The latter is provided with a branch line leading to the channel delivering oil to the set of friction discs of brake device. The middle steps of each stepped channel accommodate two valves intended to shut off the channels of smaller steps opening into hydraulic tank. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 1 dwg
