FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: product: quercitin - 3,5,7, -3, 5, 7, 3′, 4′-pentahydroxyflavone, m. p. is 310-317 C. Reagent 1: larch wood. Reagent 2: aqueous solution of alkaline or alkaline-earth metal m-sulfite or ammonium bisulfite (pH 4-6). Reaction conditions: reagent 1 is treated with reagent 2 at 25-100 C following by separation of spent solution containing quercitin and thermal treatment at 125-145 C. Method provides increase of quercitin purity up to 68.5-69.5% and yield up to 99%. Product is used medicine. EFFECT: improved method and increased yield of quercitin.
