FIELD: electrodeposition technology. SUBSTANCE: electric converter comprises first and second thyristors, resistor, measuring amplifier, power supply source whose zero output lead is connected to anode of load, and the pole terminals are connected across two transistor switches to variable- inductance choke, load cathode, control unit, analog-to-digital converter, voltage indicator, register, digit-to-analog converter, first, second and third timers, systemic bus of control computer and first, second and third break request lines connected to said bus. Functional capabilities are increased due to the fact that the control computer enters into the register the codes corresponding to the intensity of output current while timers record the codes determining the duration of forward and reverse current pulses and the pauses therebetween. The code from the output of the register is converted into voltage by means of digit-to-analog converter and controls the functioning of the unit which forms switching voltages for transistor switches. The feedback circuit coming from the resistor via the amplifier, indicator and analog-to-digital converter enables the computer to control the current flowing through the load and stabilizes its intensity. EFFECT: reliability is enhanced by switching-on one of thyristors at the moment of transistor switch closing and simultaneous closing of choke to the zero terminal of power supply source which eliminates switching voltage bumps and reduces interference. 2 cl, 3 dwg
