FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: in design of excavator travel motion mechanism functional purpose of links of output planetary gear train is changed: epicycle is connected with fixed housing and serves as supporting link, carrier is connected with movable housing which carries driving wheel and so becomes driven link, two-row taper bearing is replaced by device with radial bearing and thrust bearing whose outer race is split to permit installation of solids of revolution. Inner race is installed on fixed housing with radial clearance to provide self-alignment of bearing. Thanks to it lubrication of teeth and bearings of planet pinions of heavy-loaded output planetary gear train is improved, and construction of each separate radial and thrust bearing becomes simple and making them easy to manufacture.
