FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: isolator is designed for high-voltage electrical equipment. It has link in the form of solid rod with fixed distances between holes for axles of hinges and attachement of stationary insulators, through arc-shaped holes adjustment is provided by simultaneous entry of both ends of each mobile knife into contact with stationary knives and of all mobile knives simultaneously without one lagging behind other. Knives of insulators are anchored with the aid of semi-clamps with protrusions entering arc-shaped flutes of insulator heads. Joining of insulators with supports and shafts with the halp of compensating flexible bushings fitted into insulators by means of epoxy compound and on ends of supports provides for increased reliability of attachment and prevents destruction of porcelain of insulators cause by temperature deformations due to difference of coefficients of linear expansion of porcelain and metal of supports.
