FIELD: high-voltage engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed fuse disconnecting switch designed to protect loads against short-circuit currents, to remotely recover conductance of main conducting circuit upon passage and disconnection of short-circuit currents, and to remotely disconnect and reconnect load currents has auxiliary connector contact mounted in arc-control chamber and threshold electromagnetic operating mechanism inserted in series with power circuit, fixed insulator with internal coaxial and movable insulator, additional electromagnetic operating mechanism, position sensor, electromagnetic latch mounted on frame, and main operating mechanism affording visible discharge gap by remotely or directly turning contact blade.

EFFECT: enhanced switching capacity.
