FIELD: robotics. SUBSTANCE: asynchronous motor has field structure composed of core 1 and polyphase winding 2 and secondary element incorporating core 3 in which slots insulated conductive rods are dropped shorted on one side by common bus 4 and on other side by cylinder 5 mounted for turning about its axis. Cylinder 5 includes conductive and insulation parts, it is attached to secondary element with the aid of supports 6 and is provided with handle 7. Rotational speed of motor is smoothly controlled by closing two or more rods of secondary winding with conductive part of cylinder 5 having irregular section over length of circumference i.e. by changing resistance of secondary winding.
