FIELD: cleaning surfaces of articles. SUBSTANCE: method consists in treatment of articles by heated polyfluorinated alcohol through preliminary distillation of polyfluorinated alcohol together with 0.5-6.0 vol-% of petroleum fraction or gas condensate fraction, cooling of distillate thus obtained to a temperature which is below its flash point by 5.0-10.0 C and cleaning of articles in this distillate at cleaning agent temperature reduced to 2.0-30.0 C. EFFECT: reduction of residual contamination of surface and reduction of cleaning time.
