FIELD: mechanical engineering and instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in treatment of the surface with cleaning agent circulating in cleaning chamber; electrical potential is fed to article at such magnitude relative to housing of cleaning chamber at which desorption of contamination from surface and absorption of cleaning agent by surface take place. Upon completion of the procedure, article is subjected to cleaning. Used cleaning agent is fed between two electrodes made in form of liquid permeable partitions which have such difference of potentials at which cleaning agent passes through one electrode and contaminated medium through other electrode. Cleaning agent thus regenerated is fed for next cleaning cycle and its vapors are entrapped from vapor-air mixture. Device for realization of this method has chamber for cleaning articles, current source connected with cleaning chamber wall and with articles being cleaned, regeneration system made in form of regeneration chamber inside which two electrodes made in form of liquid-tight partitions and connected with current source are located; device is also provided with cleaning agent vapor recovery system. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
