FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: press has bed with table. Slider is fitted in guides. Slider drive has connecting rods, cranks, intermediate and driving shafts coupled through two-step gear train. Intermediate shaft is sectional, its parts being coupled by means of toothed couplings. Mounted on central part of intermediate shaft is slow-speed gear wheel of gear train. Each toothed coupling has equal number of teeth on its coupling members rigidly connected with end faces of adjacent parts of sectional intermediate shaft.
