FIELD: bottle capping. SUBSTANCE: when bottle is lifted up, it comes in contact with flange 4 of stop 13. Bottle is lifted to engage with projections "B" of levers 3 or disk fitted on flange 4. With bottle lifted further on, levers 3 turn and lower projections of levers are moved to side wall of cap, taking up assembly clearance and engaging with cap at level of upper bevel of circular groove on bottle rim. Caps are upset by force transmitted through upsetting spring of lifting table. Cork-inlay caps are upset by lugs L of levers 3 by pressure delivered from table through flange 4 of stop 13.
