FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: staring system has hydraulic-and-pneumatic accumulator 1 which is connected with hand-operated pump 3, connected with hydraulic tank 6, through supplying pipe line 2, hydraulic distributor 3, and the first check valve 4 and connected to hydraulic system 9 of a vehicle through the second check valve 8. Hydraulic starter 10 is positioned inside housing 11 and has shaft 12 whereon driving gear 13 is mounted for permitting its axial movement and engaging with the toothing of flywheel 14 of the engine. Control slide valve 15 is connected to hydraulic-and-pneumatic accumulator 1 through inlet axial passage 16, control pipe line 17, and inlet radial passage 18, coupled with the hydraulic starter, and provided with spring-loaded piston 20 with rod 21 which interacts with driving gear 13. Slide valve 15 and their inlet passages 16 and 18 are positioned inside the housing of hydraulic starter 10 secured to the engine. Hydraulic distributor 3 is three- positioning and can be used for connecting control pipe line 17 with hydraulic accumulator 1 or hydraulic tank 6. Hydraulic starter 10 can be gear-like.
