FIELD: filtering water. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a case with a grained filter bed disposed in it, a vertical central tube, distributing members, a feed water tube, a filtrate disposal tube and an air supply tube. The case is housed within a cylindrical shell having its hollow connected to a return circuit. The return circuit comprises in a sequence a circulating pump and a water-air ejector. The ejector air duct has a disk attached to it for vibration and a baffle mounted on and being in a spaced relation to the duct. The baffle has the form of a truncated cone. Perforated partitions are formed inside the shell along with oppositely directed screens. The primary water receiver has a grid with, for instance, a marble crumble deposited on it. A sorbent-containing vessel is placed upstream the filtrate disposal tube. Water-air ejector has inflow ducts interconnected through a ring collector.
