FIELD: separating mixture of heterogeneous liquids. SUBSTANCE: separator has rotor I supported by a pair of hollow half shafts 2 and 3. The rotor has the form of a closed tube piece with its longitudinal axis perpendicular to that of rotor rotation. Hollow shaft 6 is received in the half shaft 3 and has its hollow in communication with the central part of rotor I. Half shaft 2 has its hollow connected by a pair of corner tubes 7 to the rotor areas having a mean centrifugal factor. Tubes 7 have their inlets aligned parallel with the rotor axis of rotation. Half shaft 3 has its hollow communicated by a pair of corner tubes 9 with the rotor areas in which maximum values of centrifugal factor are developed. Staffing boxes 13,14,15 are respectively provided for introducing water- oil emulsion into shaft 2 and for emptying half shaft 3 and shaft 6 hollows from oil-free water and purified oil. Due to an optimal liquid flow pattern of emulsion an adequate quality of emulsion separation is achieved without using any coalescencing filler in the rotor. This results in a simplified design, enhanced efficiency and easier maintenance. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separating liquids. 2 dwg
