FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: centrifuge for the separation of water-based suspensions comprises a rotor with a coalescing chuck, a shaft with channels for the supply of emulsion and withdrawal of the separated components - water and light phase, a light phase chamber mounted on the inner side of a branch pipe, packing units of the channels to supply emulsion and to withdraw the separated components and a sensor of the separated light phase in the form of an electrode. A perforated branch pipe is coaxially installed inside the coalescing chuck. The light phase chamber is communicated with the light phase withdrawal channel. The electrode is of rod type and is fixed on the packing unit of the channel to withdraw the separated components so that the sensitive electrode part is set coaxially in the plane of the light phase withdrawal channel.
EFFECT: increased throughput capacity of a centrifuge and improved separation efficiency.
