FIELD: radar technique. SUBSTANCE: method provides for coherency of radiated signal, radiation of it on object and phase modulation by two pairs of modulation laws at time shift between first laws by first dependance from value of deflection of line of sight from longitudinal axis of object in heading and time shift between second laws by second dependance by value of deflection in pitching, processing of received signal by aperture synthesizing method for each of four laws of modulation and selecting maximum signal from signals accumulated for this law of processing for consideration before determination of time delay of the law relative to it proper: determination of time shifts between laws in pairs and making use of first and second dependances for estimation of orientation of this object. It is good practice to use harmonic laws of phase modulation as one of versions.
