FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: intermediate sublayer containing, parts by mass: talcum 8-20; γ-aminopropyltrietoxisilane 0.8-2.0; monopiroxine 0.2-0.6; sevilene being the balance, is applied on glass reinforced plastic core before application of protective jacket followed by drying. Polymer composition is based on high-pressure polyethylene or on modified copolymer of ethylene with vinylacetate or mixture of copolymer of ethylene with vinyl-acetate or on modified copolymer of ethylene with vinylacatate with high-pressure polyethylene with following proportion of components, per cent by mass: aluminium hydroxide 40.0-50.0; agydol-2 0.1-0.4; benzene OA 0.15-0.50 or modified copolymer of ethylene with vinylacetate or mixture of copolymer of ethylene with vinylacetate or of copolymer of ethylene with vinylacetate with high-pressure polyethylene being the balance. When used as polymer base copolymer of ethylene with vinylacetate or modified copolymer of ethylene with vinylacetate is mixed with high-pressure polyethylene in proportion (10-20):(80-90). Polyethylene with melt flow point not lower 2.0 g/10 min is used as high-pressure polyethylene. Protective coat manufactured by proposed process enable high-characteristics of electric, adhesion and mechanical strength of insulator to be obtained.
