FIELD: automatization of heat treatment. SUBSTANCE: inductor 1 is mounted on carriage 2. Drive 5 is connected with the carriage through flexible connection 4 and thereby moves the inductor along pipe 3. During heat treatment, pickup 7 measures the pipe temperature in the zone of heat treatment. The measured temperature is compared with the temperature given by processor 6 and, when the measured temperature deflects from the given one, either power supplied to inductor 1 or speed of the carriage is changed.
