FIELD: wood-pulp and paper industry. SUBSTANCE: drying cylinder of papermaking machine consists of body produced by centrifugal casting. There are two covers connected with body by means of screws over conjugated surfaces. Body is made of gray cast iron with eutecticity grade of 0.5-0.8, suspended during filling casting mold with granulated ferrosilicon in the amount of 0.1-0.3% of body mass. Circular protrusions are made on body end faces for installation of covers into corresponding grooves on the side of their conjugated surfaces. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
