FIELD: sealing of machines. SUBSTANCE: gasket is intended for engagement with the machine piston. Annular metal casing is fixed in a recess. A ring groove, open in the direction opposite to the end surface of lock-nut, is made on the inner surface of the casing. A fixed ring, that compresses and holds the gasket, is installed in the groove, the ring rests against the groove bottom and on radius it is smaller than the groove depth. The gasket is formed by seal rings having a longitudinal slot along the axis over the whole length and thickness. The rings are separated by slots in angular direction and fixed against angular displacement in the ring. On radius the seal rings are thicker than the slot depth less the ring depth. A retaining ring is installed in the groove, it rests against the slot bottom and gasket, whose inside diameter exceeds the inside diameter of the gasket. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 10 cl, 7 dwg
