MIXING VALVE HAVING CARTRIDGE OF BALL VALVE AND MEMBER OF LOWER INSERT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: control of flow rate and temperature of hot and cold water. SUBSTANCE: mixing valve has body consisting of lower base member and cover and insert with movable member. Lower base member has inlet passages for cold and hot water and outlet passage. Passages are brought in communication with respective inlet and outlet passages in base member. Movable member of valve is located for engagement with inlet passages which is necessary for control of flow rate and temperature of the liquid mixture. Cover has through hole for receiving the control rod of movable member. Cavity in lower base member of body is made in form of cylinder with flat base. Body is provided with upper base member made in form of cartridge and located above insert. Upper portion of cartridge has upper hole for passage of control rod through it, lower hole being provided in its portion. Lower hole is used to receive movable member of valve for positioning its lower portion in recess of insert for engagement with outlet passages. Cartridge is provided with attachment device for limited motion of movable member of valve relative to cartridge. Cartridge is provided with sealing bearing surface around upper hole. Sealing gasket fitted on sealing bearing surface is used for sealing the movable member of valve. EFFECT: facilitated assembly and disassembly of mixing valve. 6 cl, 8 dwg
