SUBSTANCE: fuel is continuously introduced into layer and air is continuously supplied under grate and unloading pipe; excessive material is evacuated through overflow connection and through unloading pipe from beneath; amount of air fed to unloading pipe is regularly changed from minimum magnitude at which rate of fluidization of largest particles of fuel is ensured to maximum magnitude limited by free fall velocity of particles at frequency of 0.1 to 0.5 Hz and duration ratio of 2 to 2.5.
