FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device relates to measurement of distances covered by automobile over dry nonloose ground. It takes into account change of road conditions immediately in process of its operation thanks to compensation of changes of rotational speed of front wheel which provides for simplification of device and increase of its reliability. Device includes distance transducers attached to front and rear wheels and program switch, comparison circuit, storing counter and indicator connected in series as well as generator of high-frequency pulses coupled to second input of comparison circuit. Device is supplemented with unit of formation of counting pulses which inputs are connected to distance transducers and which output is linked to input of generator of high-frequency pulses. In this case number of distance transducers mounted on front and rear wheels of automobile is chosen from condition Kr/Kf= Nf/Nr, where Kr and Kf are numbers of transducers mounted correspondingly on rear and front wheels; Nf and Nr are rotational speeds of front and rear wheels of automobile over standard basis with soft ground.
