FIELD: geodetic measurements. SUBSTANCE: distances are measured by back and front wheel of a vehicle in direct and reverse directions. Before measurements on base-lines with known difference in level between points the functional dependence is determined for different types of soils on average value of differences in distances, which have been measured by front and back wheels in direct and reverse directions. Current value of the coefficient is determined from the results of measurements and the functional dependence. Difference in level to be determined is defined from differences of distances, measured by front and back wheels in direct and reverse directions and from current value of the coefficient. EFFECT: simplification.
