FIELD: surface-well geoelectric exploration for oil geophysics. SUBSTANCE: low-frequency electromagnetic field is excited by vertical electric line. One electrode of line is located at well mouth and other is displaced along its wall. Then current dripping through well height is recorded and maximum of dripping current is located. Second electrode is grounded at point of maximum. Field magnetic components are measured on day surface or desired height. Layout of isometric lines of magnetic components is plotted, and boundaries of oil and gas deposits or promising oil regions are determined by location of quasi-poles of magnetic field. EFFECT: improved validity of studies in detecting and delineating oil and gas deposits in organic structures covered with heavy mantle of halogenous deposits. 3 dwg
