FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: germination inhibitor of redroot amaranth seeds comprises an aqueous infusion of the mixture of dried leaves of Canada thistle and common winter cress flowers at the following ratio of components, g: leaves of Canada thistle, 1; common thistle flowers, 1; water 100. Tests of the claimed preparation have shown that its inhibiting effect on germination of the redroot amaranth is as efficient as the known herbicide alyrox. The action of the inhibitor actually vanishes completely in 4 5 days which is a evidence of its ecological safety. EFFECT: reduced pollution of environment. 1 tbl
