FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method for production of material with regulated thermal expansion consists in mixing powders of refractory metal such as molybdenum or tungsten with copper, or mixture of copper and nickel, compaction, sintering and deformation of produced blank by free upsetting of blank by pressing at room temperature. Components are mixed in the following amounts, mas. refractory metal 25-75; the balance, copper or mixture of copper with nickel. After pressing, cross rolling is effected at temperature of 250-350 C. Change of rolling direction in cross rolling is effected once provided total deformation exceeds 60% EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 3 tbl
