FIELD: storage battery charging. SUBSTANCE: device has switching element inserted in charging circuit and discharge cell built around transistor with loading resistor in collector circuit and limiting resistor in base circuit; transistor emitter is connected to switching element and to battery terminal. Two thyristors connected to power source into full-wave single-phase rectifier circuit are used as switching element. Device is provided in addition with two diodes, d. c. coupling resistor, and thyristor control unit. Charge and short-time discharge of storage battery is effected during each a.c. voltage half-cycle. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
