FIELD: battery charging devices.
SUBSTANCE: device has charge, discharge, control, and synchronization means. Connected to discharge means is high-speed charge-current interrupter that builds up high-voltage pulse across storage battery and makes it release additional quantity of charge carriers across battery plates. High-speed charge-current interrupter has high-speed pulse-width controller, field-effect transistor that functions as high speed- switch, current rise delay inductor, shunt that functions as current detector, and diode used to protect field-effect transistor against breakdown.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to shaping discharge current pulse with steep trailing edge.
