FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: back support, preferably lumbus support of automotive vehicle seat, made in form of hourglass or butterfly consists of two symmetrical parts 3, one making up the other. Each part rests on one of posts 7 of seat backrest 8 through horizontal rod 4 passing through holes 11 in wing 8 secured by joint 9 to outer end of corresponding making up part 3. Drive or pull means, for instance, flexible Bowden control cables 13, provide extension of free ends of wings 8 outwards. Sideward displacement of free ends of winds 8 provides forward displacement of outer ends of making up parts 3, thus changing horizontal profile of support 1 to increase bending, and cross tension of seat backrest is increased. EFFECT: enhanced convenience. 8 cl, 3 dwg
