FIELD: materials handling machinery. SUBSTANCE: conveyor system has overhead track 1 with current lead 2, load carriers 3, carrier electric drive in form of linear induction motor with inductor 5 and secondary part 6, self-contained control device 9 coupled with DC source 10 and speed sensor 11 and position pickup 12. Linear induction motor has control layer 7 with control winding coupled through current regulator 13 with self-contained control device 9 and DC source 10. With system operating, signals from speed sensor 11 installed on load carrier 3 get to input of control device 9. If actual value of speed differs from value set by system control panel, control device generates error signal which is converter in current regulator 13 and is applied to control winding of control layer 7, thus changing magnetic flux of linear induction motor members. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of system, simplified design, reduced weight and cost of system owing to use of linear induction motor with regulated control layer. 3 dwg
