FIELD: technology of cellulose treatment. SUBSTANCE: after treatment of lignocellulose-containing pulp with acid at pH 1-6 and washing with water water-soluble magnesium-containing compound is added to the pulp at concentration 0.01-10.00 kg/t dry pulp (as magnesium), and pH value is maintained at the range 1-7, mainly 2-6. Then pulp is whitened with chlorineless reagent consisting of hydrogen peroxide, at pH 8-12. Magnesium sulfate or chloride were used as water-soluble magnesium-containing compound. Water-soluble magnesium-containing compound is added at 10-95 C for 1-180 min at concentration 0.5-5.0 kg/t dry pulp (as magnesium).
