FIELD: foundry engineering. SUBSTANCE: gate has a fireproof stator with one intake hole and an axially rotatable fireproof rotor. Axis passes almost perpendicular to the tank bottom and/or axial movement directed to the rotation axis in such a way that intake holes of rotor and stator get more or less overlapped when rotor is rotating or moving regarding stator. Besides stator and rotor are engaged along cylinder surface. Stator has a groove with a cylinder inner surface where rotor having cool cylinder outer surface is mounted tightly but rotatable and/or axially movable. Due to it both stator and rotor may be passed from below through a tank bottom and be substituted from a cold outer side of metallurgical tank. Besides under given conditions rotor may be driven from below, i.e. from the cold outer side of the tank. EFFECT: improved design. 12 cl, 5 dwg
