FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking a sample of fresh morning urine from a patient on an empty stomach to determine magnesium-independent acid DNA activity at pH 5.3-5.7 and level of urine fraction components soluble in acid by means of spectrophotometer at 260 nm. Malignant disease without metastatic spreading or relapses is diagnosed in oncologic patients, if this activity detected in urine is positive and the contents of the components is normal, that is below 0.300 E. If magnesium-independent acid DNA activity is equal to or greater than 0.300 E together with increased level of the above mentioned component contents, the presence of malignant disease with metastatic spreading or its relapses is diagnosed. EFFECT: high reliability of diagnostic prediction.
