FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and aims at the differential diagnosis of prostate cancer. A real-time polymerase chain reaction is used to examine a patient's peripheral blood for Tp53, GSTP1 and IL10 gene expression in relation to referential β-actin gene (ACTB). If the relative Tp53 gene expression is more than 3.68×10-6, GSTP1 gene expression is more than 3.73×10-3 and IL10 gene expression is less than 4.32×10-5, prostate cancer is diagnosed. If the relative Tp53 gene expression is more than 3.68×10-6, GSTP1 gene expression is less than 3.73×10-3 and IL10 gene expression is more than 4.32×10-5, benign prostatic hyperplasia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention enables diagnosing prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia effectively, including that with lower prostate-specific antigen that enables starting well-timed and adequate therapy.
