SUBSTANCE: balls 2 simulating fuel elements are charged in tank of core model, ball charge structure is formed, ball charge is taken apart, separated balls are assembled in groups including balls held within assigned local spaces 10 and split by their boundaries; number of balls in each group is determined and porosity is calculated by means of proposed empirical formula.
