FIELD: drinking water purification. SUBSTANCE: household filter for drinking water purification has: cylindrical body with bottom and detachable lid; filtering member for mechanical water purification, made in the form of nonwoven polymeric fibres, connected in places of their crossing by autogenous cementing; filtering member for sorbent purification, made in the form of mechanically connected to each other polymeric fibres, between which sorption filling is uniformly located. Ratio of pores of the members is (5 i) 1 with ratio of their thickness of (2 5) 1. Filter also has center draining pipe and member to sterilize water, that has crimped membrane.
