MULTISAW MACHINE FOR LOGS SLITTING Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: woodworking industry. SUBSTANCE: multisaw machine for logs slitting has bed-frame 1 with feeding mechanism 2. Bed-frame 1 has support 3. in which mounted shaft 4 is driven into rotation by belt transmission 5. Round disk saws 6 are mounted on shaft 4 in spacing bushes 7 with radial canals 8 and ring-type drillings 9, made on butt surfaces of bushes 7. Pressure chamber 10 is located inside shaft 4 and outer surface of shaft 4 has longitudinal canals 11, uniformly located along outer diameter of the shaft and communicated with chamber 10 through holes 12. Diffuser 13 is located inside shaft 4 and connected with pressure chamber 10. In front of diffuser 13 there is working wheel, made in the form of stepped bush with blade wheel 14, that is rigidly fixed to inner surface of shaft 4. Other working wheel, made also in the form of blade wheel 15 is mounted in diffuser 13 on smaller diameter of stepped bush with capability to rotate. Gear 16 is rigidly fixed to blade wheel 15 and cantilever 17 is fixed to feeding mechanism 2. Cantilever 17 has geared transmission 18, that is made of two geared wheels being engaged with each other. One of the geared wheels of transmission 18 is engaged with diffuser of shaft 4, that has teeth in zone of engagement. Another geared wheel is engaged with gear 16. Inner cavity of stepped bush through pipeline 19 communicates with tank 20 for cooling medium (water), mounted on feeding mechanism 2. Round disk saws 6 and spacing bushes 7 are fixed on shaft 4 by nut 21. EFFECT: multisaw machine for logs slitting is used in woodworking industry. 1 dwg
