FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: air tuyere of blast furnace has flange, housing with a water cooling space, and fuel supplying pipe which passes through them. The outlet of the pipe is provided with a cylindrical nozzle projecting in the working passageway and provided with the outlet opening made up as a slot having a projection the flat surface of which is exposed to the flow and is at a blunt angle of α to the axis of the tuyere. The flat surface of the projection has longitudinal grooves which are diverging concentrically from the axis of the nozzle. The bottom edge of the grooves is at the same level as the bottom edge of the slot. The depth of the grooves is 0.3-0.6 of the height of the slot. The projection is hollow and has openings arranged over its end edge. The axes of the openings are intersected in the vertical plane at an angle of b = α - 35 ,. Total area of the opening cross-sections and total area of the slot cross-section is 0.2-0.4 and 0.4-0.5 of the total area of the cross-section of the cylindrical nozzle respectively.
