FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: thruster has pod 4 with propeller shaft 7 and propeller 5 mounted in transverse tunnel 6 of ship's hull. Two drive engines 1 and 2 are mounted in ship's hull; each engine is connected with propeller shaft 7 by means of intermediate shafts 12 and 13 and angular gear trains. Engine shafts and intermediate shafts are located in plane passing through axis of transverse tunnel 6 symmetrically relative to plane perpendicular to this axis of tunnel. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
