FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: method for making a cylindrical heat exchanger made up of inner and outer steel cylinders involves making a helical groove and a flat strip winding on outer surface of the inner cylinder. The flat strip winding is made of soft tempered steel. The outer cylinder is installed in a heated state to provide a shrinkage fit between said cylinder and the helical winding. The circular gap between the inner and outer cylinders is sealed at both ends of the outer cylinder. The ends of the outer cylinder are provided with tubular members for connection to the pipes of the refrigerating circuit. EFFECT: improved functional and operating characteristics. 4 cl, 3 dwg
