PORTABLE LATHE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: machine tool building. SUBSTANCE: lathe has working table longitudinal displacement drive, drive for rotating of platform mounted on working table, bar vertical and transverse displacement drive. Bar is are mounted on poles fixed on base. Bar is positioned on pin for rotation about it and displacement along it. Kinematic connection between drives is provided through couplings and reducers, which may be switched off, and by means of pairs of toothed gears with equal axis-to-axis distance. Lathe is further provided with drive for moving guides in vertical plane. Pin with bar is secured to guides. Power drive is fixed in receptacle made in bar, with electric drill, spindle and other devices being used as power drive. Above mentioned drives and their members may be independently mounted on preliminarily prepared frame, base, working table, poles and guides. It allows lathe to be gradually furnished with drives required in during operation and new drives increasing operational and design capabilities of lathe to be worked out.
