FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: heat and mass exchange apparatus has cylindrical casing, hollow cylinder cantilevered with respect to casing end wall, and cylindrical spiral auger in the form of coil disposed in space defined between cylindrical casing and inner cylinder. Auger is fixed bearing unit on casing end wall opposite the wall, to which is fixed inner cylinder. When necessary, inner cylinder may be provided with heating means, may be made perforated and may be communicated with atmosphere. Drying agent may be supplied under pressure into coil or into inner perforated cylinder. Cylindrical spiral auger may be made in the form of hollow coil with blind free end, it may be made perforated. Cylindrical casing may be provided with heating means or may be made perforated. Charging and discharge devices may be provided with valves or sluice gate. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 7 cl, 5 dwg
