FIELD: filtering practice. SUBSTANCE: inertia thickener has a casing with a cover, cylindrical filter element coaxially installed inside the casing, its lower part is furnished with a taper shell with condensed fraction outlet connection, and connected to the upper part is source suspension tangential inlet connection, outlet connection for liquid fraction, propeller blade positioned inside the filter element, whose lower part is installed for vertical movement and furnished with a link provided with an adjusting nut; the propeller-blade is installed for rotation, it has a sharpened edge and its upper part is attached to a hollow shaft passed through the casing cover along the center line, the hollow shaft is placed in a cylindrical shell fixed on the casing cover and secured to the shell by means of bearings, and the link is passed through the hollow-shaft, its adjusting ring rests on the upper end face of the hollow shaft.
