VEHICLE CAB Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: road vehicles; trucks. SUBSTANCE: vehicle cab has driver's seat and twin passenger seat. Cushion and backrest of seat are installed for turning around vertical axis and arrangement in horizontal position between driver's seat and cab side door opposite to driver's seat. Width of seat cushion is less than distance between front and rear walls of cab at level of seat cushion upper edge in turned position. Backrest of seat has removable head rest intended for elongation of backrest when the latter is in horizontal position. Seat cushion can be provided with stop to fix gearshift lever when cushion is placed in horizontal position. Cab can be furnished with lock to fix seat cushion in horizontal position relative to cab floor. Invention provides riding comfort for drier and passengers and comfortable conditions for rest at parking. It also enhances reliability of protection against hijacking.
